Blood Drive February 24th

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Bay Shore Church heart

Parish Outreach will sponsor its annual blood drive on Sunday, February 24; 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This comes as a reminder to eat foods rich in iron so you will be eligible to donate. If you are a regular blood donor, please remember that your donations need to be at least 56 days apart. You are encouraged to donate prior to the end of the year to avoid being disqualified in February. Call Carolyn Remley at (562) 434-2530 with questions.

BAY SHORE FRIENDS 2008

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

On Friday, February 15th the Bay Shore Friends’ Club is having its first meeting of 2008.  Even if you are not a member of Bay Shore Friends, all members and friends of the church are invited to join us at our potluck and program meeting in the Concert Hall.  Our program features a “lightning round” of quick questions from us and quick answers from Charlie Ensley; questions about the church or the pastor which you have always wanted to ask, but which you have never had the opportunity to ask.

We’re continuing our early start time, so if you are coming for the potluck, please have your food at the church by 5:45 p.m.  Call Marcia Foley at 430-6141 to coordinate food assignments, and remember to bring your own table service.  If you are coming just for the program, please arrive at 7:00 p.m.
Also, please remember that annual dues ($10 per person) are now payable to our treasurer, Bill Nicolai at church or mail to him at 5503 E. Seaside Walk, LB 90803.
