Sunday School This Week
We love to see you each Sunday and miss you when you’re not here. Sunday School Teachers have lots of fun and faith in store for you.  Bring a friend!

What our youth will be learning this Sunday, September 28:
Bible Story: Cain kills Abel (Genesis 4:1-16).
Key Verse: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love (Romans 12:10).
Bible Point: God wants us to love and honor our families.

Middle School Youth Group 628 Thursday Night – Get a little Crazy, have a little fun!!! Please join us for food, games, and fellowship, each Thursday in the Youth Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. September 25 is Bologna darts and bubble-gum ceramics????? Revolve-An Event for Teen Girls!!!
Come join us October 10 and 11 for a fun, fast paced, action packed afternoon learning about how much God loves us. Call Laura T. for details, tickets, car-pooling information, etc.

Substitute Sunday School Teachers Needed
If you are interested in being a substitute teacher, we would love to have you. Each year we prepare special “Substitute Lessons” that are easy, fun and require little preparation on your part (just a bit of reading prior to class). Contact Traci Reitz if you are interested or Laura Tschudin.

Calling All Boys & Girls Who Like to Sing: It’s Not Too Late!!
The Bay Shore Children’s Choir practices Sundays from 11:00 am–12:00 noon in the Youth Chapel. We prepare songs that we’ll sing in the worship services, and in a few weeks audition for the parts in our annual Christmas Musical. This year we will sing a musical by Mark Patterson called Light of the World. As you know, the more children we have, the more fun it is, and the more we can do with our songs and musical. So, come and check out what all the excitement is about!  Bring yourself and your voice! Any questions, contact Julie Ramsey.

Beth Moore’s Study Resumes with Registration & Intro: September 25 from 9-11 a.m. through November 6th in the Gabrielson Chapel:  Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent. This 7-session study will focus on themes such as unity, joy and gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings. Interested? Email Laura Tschudin.

School Supplies Drive for Lincoln Elementary Backpacks

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

It’s not too late to go out and buy school supplies to fill the backpacks for fifth graders at Lincoln Elementary. Supplies include paper, pencils, pens, folders, crayons or markers or colored pencils, and glue or glue sticks. Anything you think a fifth grader would need to start the school year. We’ll deliver these backpacks at the start of the school year, right after Labor Day. Thanks once again for your continued support for this mission project. Summer Sunday School
On August 31, Sunday School will be held upstairs in the Louise Henry Youth Chapel located in the Christian Education wing instead of the Youth Center which is being painted.

Computer Challenged?

Or just interested in learning more about technology, join us on Tuesdays from 4-5:30 p.m. in the church library. First class is Sept. 16th. There will be a $10. fee per class. The first class will cover basic computer skills, vocabulary, and how to get those photos off your camera and onto your computer. We will also take a survey of what everyone is hoping to learn in order to organize each week’s lesson. Bring your laptop or sit by someone with one and observe or share.
