Great Response to Project Love!

The last day of sign ups is this coming Sunday. We have only 15 children left. If you would you like to provide a $15-20 Christmas gift for a child from the Hotevilla-Bacavi School, please visit the table in the Concert Hall to select a child and return your gift by November 9. If you have any questions, please call Debby Griffin.

2009 Pledge Support Coming In

If you did not receive a letter with the pledge card for 2009 support of the church, they are available on the narthex table or by calling the office. Please return the cards as soon as possible so we will have a current figure of our 2009 income for our budget preparation. We plan to have a budget informational forum on Sunday, Nov. 9 after worship. The Harvest Home congregational meeting to adopt the 2009 budget will be Sunday, Nov. 16.

Technology Committee Needs You!

As a member of Bay Shore Church, one of the ways you can contribute is with your talent and time. The Business Affairs Commission is interested in forming a committee of volunteers that will help develop, direct, and maintain Bay Shore Technology now and into the future, contributing and serving by helping to set up and maintain Bay Shore’s computer network, computers, printers, and copiers.

Interested members and others should have experience in setting up networks and computers and, most importantly, be willing to put their skills to good use to help Bay Shore. We also encourage those of high school and college age to apply. Rich Ramsey, who works in the software industry, has been volunteer-ing his time the last several months and will lead the committee. If you are interested in serving, or want more information, please contact Rich.

Dear Partners at Bay Shore:
Your support is more important than ever. Thank you for generously donating the Smart and Final cards. I hope you know we use them to purchase food for our hot breakfast program. You are feeding a lot of breakfasts these days. Hope to see some of you at the November 15th fundraiser.

Neighbors in Need Offering October 5!

Our UCC outreach for Neighbors in Need (NIN) reaches out to efforts supporting justice and compassion throughout the county. One third of the offering goes to the American Indian Ministry and two-thirds towards direct service, advocacy and justice projects. There will be an offering envelope in next week’s Carillon.
