Middle & High school students will remain in worship that day to hear this special speaker.
We will be serving the hungry at Christian Outreach in Action next Wednesday, May 21st. This month we have had a generous donation of Hamburger Helper. Please pick up a box or two this Sunday, May 18th. The only other item required is 1 lb. of hamburger per box. We also have a special brownie recipe. We need cooks and servers. Many hungry and homeless at COA know when Bay Shore is cooking, and look forward to our meals!
Thank you,
Melinda, Peggy and Linda
Hello again Bay Shore Congregation! I want to first thank you all for being so welcoming on Easter Sunday. My mom came down from Oregon and she was able to come to the service with me and she had such a wonderful time. I also want to thank you for having me at your service the week after Easter to speak and to thank all of you for your support! This semester has only continued to be busy, lots of homework as always! But all my classes are going well and I am still really enjoying all that I am learning. I also joined the woman’s Fraternity Kappa Alpha Theta this semester and it has been such a great opportunity. Kappa Alpha Theta is brand new to campus this semester, and so we are the founding sisters of the chapter at Chapman University. We colonized in February and last weekend we became a chapter, it has been an exciting journey. Being a part of Greek life on campus has given me so many new opportunities. We participated in Greek week at the end of March, where all of Greek life competes in various activities over the week; it was a great way for Kappa Alpha Theta to really begin to become a part of the Greek community. We also participated in skit night, where each sorority and fraternity creates an eight-minute show. Our theme was “Theta Love” and we choreographed our dances to all Beatles songs and we sent Theta love letters to all the other sororities and fraternities on campus and thanked them for being so receptive of us being on campus. I want to thank you again for all of your continued support, I really appreciate all that you do and the opportunities that I have been able to have thanks to all of you. I hope that everything is going well and that this letter reaches you all in health and happiness.
Peace and love, Marissa Boardman
